The No Aids Racing league (NAR) exists since 2001. Starting with F1 2002 and quickly switching to F1 Challenge 99-02 game, NAR then did a major upgrade by using the rFactor game developped by Image Space Incorporated, creators of over a dozen products in the past ten years. rFactor provides unprecedented flexibility, allowing the series to grow and evolve with mod community involvement, race club formation, and feedback from users worldwide. At rFactor's beginnings, not many F1 mods were available so NAR took the decision to use F1Champions, a mod built by Limpindog, for 2006 and 2007 NAR season. In 2008, NAR admins chose to make another step forward and go with MMG (Mak Modding Group) with the released MMG F1 2007 Server Edition v1.0 mod. As is a long-time tradition for NAR, all cars have equal performance on SE Edition. Trough the years, we could name many NAR member that made NAR a successful league. One member that could get a special attention is Alx. He joined NAR in January 2003 and made his way into real racing. For a few years now, NAR has an administrative structure that is based on having THE boss, Killahead, who is one of NAR founder, and 2 administrators per division, Europe and North America. Those admins are elected every season by members. Up to now, NAR is free of sponsors and no member has any fee to pay to be a member or driver. We can count on many hours of work from devoted members that manage the forum, website, stats compilation, race and practice servers and many other things, as simple it can be, has kept NAR alive year after year. |
